At our June meeting, the club determined to enable DC operations on the rear/yellow track of our layouts; or at least a separate loop of the rear track if the layout enables it.

• Powered modules will require a modification to their wiring; placing connectors in the jumper between the two tracks.
• Connecting the rear track pigtail to the jumper would place the entire layout into DCC mode. Alternately, disconnecting the pigtail from the jumper and connecting it to a DC bus, would place the rear track in DC mode.
• Some modules with turnouts and crossovers may also need to be looked at for proper track insulation.
• Wiring for a DC bus will be completed.

Testing of the DC operations will hopefully be tested at the Songbrook event in July 2025.
